The Next Supreme Court

The current court and their presidential nominator:

Considered conservative:
•Antonin Scalia (Reagan)
•Clarence Thomas (G.H.W. Bush)
•John Roberts (G.W. Bush)
•Samuel Alito (G.W. Bush)

Considered swing:
•Anthony Kennedy (Reagan)

Considered liberal:
•John Paul Stevens (Ford)
•Ruth Bader Ginsburg (Clinton)
•David Souter (G.H.W. Bush)
•Stephen Breyer (Clinton)

During the next president's term, there's a strong possibility of nominating one or two Justices. John Paul Stevens, considered liberal, is the oldest and will be 89 in April. Ruth Bader Ginsburg, also considered liberal, is the second oldest at 76 and in poor health.
