The era of the small seller on eBay is coming to an end. Consumers appear to be tiring of online auctions, and are leaning more toward fixed-price sites such as Amazon.com. Sensing that trend eBay and Buy.com have struck a deal allowing Buy.com to sell millions of items without paying the full complement of eBay fees. eBay is signaling that its future lies in big, reliable sellers, not the mom-and-pop shops.
Wonder what will happen to Craig's List?
