Bug Me Not

This site, which I'm still lookinh into, apparently provides user names and passwords that can be used to "bypass compulsory registration" for a limited number of newspapers (NYTimes & Post, Washington Post) and political blogs. I frequently read the nytimes.com and don't recall being asked to register. But I found the link on Nancy Kruh's blog so it might be of some use. bugmenot.com.

Communication

There are four types of communication, defined as an exchange of information.

•The easiest is listening; you ingest information from what others say.

•Two and three are close, but generally reading is the next easiest. Again you ingest.

•Speaking is close. Now you are giving information.

•Writing is by far the toughest communication. Unlike speaking, you must be trained to write, and do it in a way that others understand your information without the give-and-take provided by oral communication.
