Intricate Suicide
The body of 55-year-old Thomas Hickman of North Richland Hills was found near Santa Rosa, NM. Duct tape covered his mouth and he'd been shot in the back of the head leading police to suspect he'd been murdered. However, the gun was found nearby snagged in brush. Several helium balloons were attached to it, the grips removed and the trigger guard ground down to lighten its weight. Police now rule it a suicide. No information on any life insurance policy has been made public.
